“Bjørn-Kowalski Hansen recreates the mythical situation of the backstage-area, but stripped of its primary source of meaning, the band itself. Through the use of the rider, the recipe so to speak, the structure is relocated without the aura and one is left with the question of whether the remaining signs in themselves are strong enough to survive the situation as copy. In turn the work can be read as a critique of the idea of authenticity that is often attached to the similar situations within relational aesthetics.”
